Job DescriptionMediclinic Middle East are looking for enthusiastic and highly skilled Operation Theater Nurses for a newly available position at Mediclinic City Hospital, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. 

Mediclinic City Hospital was the first multi-disciplinary hospital in Dubai Healthcare City. Requirements•Locally based candidates with 3-5 years experience in Operation Theater Nursing, will be given preference, but we are happy to consider candidates from overseas, who have the desired experience and qualifications
•Bachelor of Science or Diploma in Nursing with a minimum of 3 years duration from a recognized Nursing Institute
•Active DHCC license is a definite advantage
•Post graduate nursing study in Operation Theater is a plus
•Well verse in Orthopaedic, Neurosurgery and General Surgery 
•Assisted with ENT, Cardio Thoracic, Urology, Paediatric and Obstetrics & Gynecologic surgeries
•Proof of valid registration as a Registered Nurse from home country 
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 
•Healthcare accreditation experience will be a distinct advantage 
•Fluent in English and knowledge of Arabic is an advantage 
•Computer and application knowledge at an intermediate level
•Strong service culture orientation. At ease functioning in a multicultural environment

It is vital that a sterile environment is created and maintained by perioperative nurses and the health care team when treating patients. Having a sterile environment will promote health for nurses and affect the health of patients positively. Educating a client is one of the most important aspects to nursing. Clients should know about their treatment, illness, and anything regarding their health. As a perioperative nurse, it is vital that patients are educated about their health before and after surgery.

Job DescriptionThe Neonatal Registered Nurse provides advanced clinical care within the Neonatal, High Dependency, and Special Care Unit; supporting the functioning of the unit through the application of best practice, education, team work and a patient and family centered model of care.
RequirementsLicensing and Education:
• Bachelor of Science or Diploma in Nursing (minimum of 3 years duration) from a recognised Nursing Institute.
• Current license as a Registered Nurse (in home country and in current country of residence)
• Post graduate diploma in NICU (preferred)

Specialized Skills/Abilities/Experience:
• Minimum of three years neonatal nursing experience after graduation; preferably in a private hospital
• Two years previous experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, level 2
• Trained in Neonatal Advanced Life Support
• Ability to deliver advanced nursing care in complex situations for the neonatal patient.
• Ability to observe, monitor, assess, report and document the neonates response to treatment 
• Ability to monitor and adjust medical equipment used in the care and treatment of the neonate. 
• Ability to provide emotional and psychological support to parents and families of the neonate. 
• Advanced knowledge of breast feeding

• Demonstrated ability to deliver quality patient care

• Fluency in written and spoken English (Arabic language skills are well regarded)

Key Outputs• Provide nursing care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. This includes establishing a nursing care plan for the neonate. 
• Assist the medical team with the assessment of the neonate and any procedures that need to be undertaken. 
• Maintain a good rapport with the parents and family of the neonate. Answer, or direct, their questions to the correct person. 
• Administer medications as directed
• Continuously monitor the neonate and appropriately escalate any problems that arise.
• Participate in promoting the Neonatal Developmental Care Program 
• Educate parents regarding the needs of their baby and, when possible, let them actively participate in the care of their baby.
• Maintain and care for all equipment
• Participate in ongoing education
